“…The position of this band indicates the presence of polymerized VO 4 , but its contribution to the total intensity is small. This assignment is supported by comparison with meta-vanadate reference compounds with polymerized VO 4 such as Na 3 VO 3 [33] and NH 4 VO 3 [34], which show absorption bands at 353 and 363 nm, respectively.…”

“…The formation of amorphous KVO 3 clusters has been reported in K-ion-doped V 2 O 5 /TiO 2 [9,27]. The molecular structure of sodium metavanadate, NaVO 3 , consists of cornersharing tetrahedral VO 4 chains with two V-O distances, socalled metavanadate chains [28], and the Raman spectra of NH 4 VO 3 , NaVO 3 , KVO 3 , and RbVO 3 were almost same. It is noted that even in the case of Rb-3.5VA catalyst, a trace of peaks due to metavanadate chains was detected.…”

“…Such corner-linked chains bear interesting structural flexibility and hence they crystallize in various structural modifications depending on the temperature, pressure and preparation conditions [8][9][10]. There are several reports dealing with the crystal structure and the ferro or pyroelectric properties of various alkali or mixed metal metavanadate available in literature [4,5,[11][12][13].…”
