Zero-Parameter Model of theNNPotential

Abstract: We present a theoretical N-N potential containing, in addition to the one-pion-exchange contribution, vector-meson-exchange terms and contributions due to the inelastic interactions iV+iV->iVH-A(1236) and iV+iV-> A(1236)+A(1236). There are no adjustable parameters in this calculation, which otherwise, however, suffers from most of the usual shortcomings and difficulties of few-particle-exchange models for strong-interaction processes. The vector-meson coupling constants are fixed by electromagnetic form factor… Show more

“…First, there are short-range corrections; they come from one-loop pion dressing of the lowest-order contact interactions, and from four-nucleon contact interactions with two derivatives or two powers of the pion mass, displayed in Eqs. (92) and (103). It is easy to show that the result of loop diagrams amount to a simple shift of the contact parameters.…”

“…Note, however, that the amplitude to this order can be written as a function of C 0 + m 2 π C 2qm for it is this combination that appears in the potential (92)+ (103). Only at higher orders will C 2qm contribute new terms through pion loops.…”

“…We further emphasize that a significant part of the NLO 2PE contributions was considered much earlier in the context of meson theory of nuclear forces, see e.g. [157,158,159,160]. At N 2 LO one has to take into account the contributions of the triangle and football graphs in the second line of Fig.…”
