Technologies, awareness of management practices to overcome diseases, role of stakeholders has been crucial for well-being of livestock and farmers. Efforts are made to provide quality health care with advent of modern techniques, advocating as well as sharing considerable resources with livestock institutions. However, the key component which enhances effectiveness of service delivery is Farm Management. This review paper reinforces necessity to attempt different incubation models for technology demonstrations in improvising it. Collaborative approach involving primary stakeholders (farmers) has been stressed in this endeavour. Models like Non Linear Innovation System [NLIS] and Open Source Innovation System [OSIS] has been shared. Features like development of utilize system, trust, social reciprocity, involvement of information gatekeepers can enhance scope of large scale utilization and diffusion of technologies. The challenge for livestock system is to minimize technological gap between research stations and end users stations. The accessibility of technical knowhow depends on several criteria such as gender, availability of technology, reinforcement strategies among farmers and resource personnel's, networking among institutions, nature of demonstrations and ethical values. It is to be reiterated that more literature evidence needs to be generated in livestock science for In-situ incubation Model of Alternative Technologies [IMAT]. The paper argues for standardizing and providing simple solutions based on revival of knowledge systems. Widening knowledge gap between formal institutions and primary stakeholders can be reduced through IMAT. This enhances bonhomie among different stakeholders during interface through scientific intervention.

Abstract. Qurniati R, Febryano IG, Zulfiani D. 2017. How trust influence social capital to support collective action in agroforestry development ?. Biodiversitas 18: 1201?. Biodiversitas 18: -1206. Trust is an important factor for strengthening social capital. Trust in forest community is achieved through collective action in small scale agroforestry. It was challenging process regards the low on social capital in communities. This study intended to analyse and explain how trust influences social capital in encouraging collective action in agroforestry development. The study conducted in Sidodadi and Sumur Kumbang Lampung Province, from October-December 2016. The area was selected based on disparities of sea level of villages. The data collected through in-depth interviews with several members of farmer group who responsible for agroforestry. The research found that trust between farmer group member remains high. However, trust as a source of social capital was not supported collective action since farmer group institution is weak. Therefore, to support agroforestry development, social capital should be increased through the development of good networks (bridging) to reach collective goal i.e. community welfare and sustainable forest management.

PENDAHULUANKopi menjadi komoditas perdagangan yang memegang peranan penting baik sebagai sumber devisa nomor tiga setelah kayu dan karet (Spillane, 1990) dan sumber pendapatan. Artinya selain memiliki fungsi ekonomi, kopi juga mempunyai fungsi sosial sebab dengan adanya perkebunan tersebut, berarti memberi kesempatan kerja (Najiyati dan Danarti, 2001).Senada dengan Spillane (1990) dan Najiyati dan Danarti (2001), Herman (2003 juga berpendapat bahwa kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas perdagangan strategis dan memegang peranan penting bagi perekonomian nasional hingga akhir tahun 1990-an, khususnya sebagai penyedia lapangan kerja, sumber pendapatan dan devisa negara. Pasar ekspor kopi diduga merubah rasionalitas petani kopi karena kopi yang sudah menjadi komoditi ekspor membawa dampak monetisasi hingga ke relung kehidupan rumahtangga petani kopi.Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada tindakan kolektif petani kopi dalam menghadapi pasar ekspor kopi. Pasar mengharap individu saling berkompetisi, sementara struktur yang dipersiapkan oleh pemerintah (state) adalah petani kopi harus menjalankan usahanya secara berkelompok dalam wadah kelompok tani. Apabila di pasar aktor secara individu harus bersaing (dengan kekuatan kapital yang dimilikinya), is the elements of social capital (trust, networks and institutions) which become the frame as well as requirements for collective action. This research is a life history study. Some studies showed that the dilemma arises when individual interests are more dominant than the interests of the group. Dilemma collectivity can be tamed by the trust between individuals in the farmer groups. Collective action in the form of the institution of farmers groups can support farmers to meet the strick requirements required by the export market. Characteristics of farmer groups which can be use to facilitate the collective actions are small number of members, the group is formed on neighborhood ties, head of the group is a farmer as well as a trader and there are some incentives to individuals that involved actively in the group.Keywords: collective action, moral, culture, social capital, export markets, dilemma collectivity ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis proses munculnya dilemma kolektivitas dan upaya mengatasinya dalam kelembagaan kelompok tani serta menganalisis karakteristik kelompok tani untuk menfasilitasi tindakan kolektif dalam menghadapi pasar ekspor. Tindakan kolektif berkenaan dengan moral dan budaya, berbeda dengan tindakan rasional yang didasari oleh pilihan-pilihan individu. Tindakan kolektif dimaknai sebagai tindakan sukarela yang diambil oleh kelompok untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Pembahasan mengenai tindakan kolektif erat kaitannya dengan modal sosial.
