“…E ales disease, first described by Henry Eales in 1882, is an idiopathic obliterative vasculopathy that primarily affects the peripheral retina of healthy young men between the ages of 20 and 40 years, with an estimated incidence of 1 in 200 to 250 ophthalmic patients. [1][2][3] The exact etiology of Eales disease still stands to be controversial, which is presumed to be multifactorial in origin. Mycobacterium tuberculosis, human leukocyte antigen, and retinal autoimmunity have been considered to be related to this disease.…”
