What can we say about gender studies in Colombia? An analysis from a socio-bibliometric perspective

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the history of and academic production in gender studies in Colombia to understand aspects of its development and research dynamics. The empirical corpus of research is represented by the academic production in gender studies registered in the Scopus database. A total of 1328 articles were reviewed and analyzed. A socio-bibliometric analysis was carried out to determine consumption indicators, as well as content analysis to identify the lines of research in this field.
