The aim of this study was to evaluate a new Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B-1895 probiotic as a feed additive for farmed trout. Final weight, absolute and average daily gain of fish, and average daily growth rate were higher in the group that received the probiotic than in the control group (p<0.05). Moreover, the probiotic-fed trout had more intense growth rates than the control group (higher by 15.7%; p<0.05). A decrease in feed ratio was also observed in the group that received probiotic (25% decrease; p<0.05), indicating more efficient digestion and assimilation of feed. In general, the introduction of probiotic in the feed did not adversely affect the functional status of the fish. In young trout of the control group, when assessing the general chemical composition of the organism in the muscle tissue revealed significantly (p≤0.001) higher level of moisture content by 5.1% and lower by 11.0% dry matter content. In muscle, the protein content was higher by 1.33% (p≤0.001) and fat content by 2.1% (p≤0.001) in experimental fish. Generally, Lactobacilli, Enterococcus, Vibrio, Bacillus , and coliform bacteria were found in the intestinal samples of rainbow trout. Significant reliable difference (p≤0.05) between the samples of experimental and control groups was noted in the content of Bacillus bacteria. In the control group, 5.0±0.4×10 3 CFU/g was detected, while in the experimental group 8.4±0.8×10 4 CFU/g. Overall, the data indicate that probiotic bacteria B. amyloliquefaciens B-1895 has no adverse effect on selected microorganisms in the study fish.

The technology of production of compound feeds for agricultural (pigs) and unproductive (dogs, cats) animals, as well as for fur-bearing animals (minks, arctic foxes, sables) and valuable fish (sturgeon, trout, etc.), in which the replacement of expensive components of animal origin (fish meal, meat and bone meal, blood meal, offal), for extruded vegetable high-protein components (soy, sunflower or rapeseed meal, lupine, peas, soy) is carried out. The use of vacuum spraying of thermolabile liquid components (amino acids, protein-vitamin-mineral additives, vitamins, fats) on the surface of extruded pellets will allow you to obtain highly digestible feed. The kinetic regularities of the studied processes of humidification and steaming, extrusion, drying/cooling and draining are determined, and their rational modes are revealed. The technological scheme of the line for the production of highly digestible compound feeds has been developed, which includes the following equipment: hopper; extruder; dryer-cooler; liquid component injection plant, draining machine; conveyor and finished product hopper. According to the technical characteristics (overall dimensions, weight, occupied area, drive power, uniformity of application of fat on the surface of granules), the manufactured coating machine and the liquid component injection unit exceed the best world analogues. The technology of vacuum mixing with the introduction of liquid components will ensure their uniform distribution over the entire volume, reduce the duration of mixing, which will increase the productivity of the vacuum mixer and reduce energy consumption. The developed technology and promising types of technological equipment (mixer, extruder, vacuum sprayer, dryer-cooler) will make it possible to obtain highly digestible feed of a new generation with a protein content of 60 %, fat content of 40 %, with the introduction of growth stimulants, biologically active additives. An increase in the protein and fat complex will increase the digestibility of compound feeds by 10-12 %, increase weight gain by 10-12 % and reduce feed conversion by 15 %.

The results of experimental studies of extrusion of feed containing wheat grain and black soldier fly larvae biomass

The experimental studies were carried out in the Rostov region of Russia in 2019. Three variants of grinded wheat grain mixed with biomass of black soldier fly larvae with raw animal material content of 10, 12.5 and 15 % by mass were extruded at varying temperature. The content of amino acids in raw material and finished extrudate was determined. It has been established that the feed mixture containing grinded wheat grain and biomass of black soldier fly larvae can be successfully extruded at the temperature of 121-135 ºC. As the extrusion temperature rises in the range of 115º-140 ºС, the content of amino acids in a finished extrudate decreases. Change in larvae content in the feed mixture does not affect the nature of the correlation between the amino acids content in the extrudate and the extrusion temperature and process behavior. It has been found that with increasing temperature the amino acids content in the extruded feed decreases with an accelerated velocity irrespective of the insect biomass content. The rational temperature range for extrusion of feed mixture containing grinded wheat grain and larvae biomass was determined within 121-127 ºC. This range provides no more than 30 % decrease in indispensable amino acids content in the extrudate. The extruded feed containing 15% of insect larvae biomass contains 9.6±0.13 % of amino acids, including 4.38±2.01 % of indispensable amino acids. Extrusion of larvae biomass mixed with grain of cereal crops is considered to be a promising direction for improving production of feed for fish and farm animals.
