Vaccination Experiments in Cattle with a Live and with an Inactivated Aujeszky's Disease Virus Vaccine

Abstract: Summary The efficacy of two ADV vaccines viz. the attenuated live virus vaccine K/61 and the inactivated EEI vaccine of the Bundesforschungsanstalt für Viruskrankheiten der Tiere in Tübingen was investigated in cattle. The K/61 vaccine was injected twice in the five‐fold prescribed dose into 28 adult cows. In the field this vaccine was applied twice in the prescribed dose into 7.739 cows.
