Objetivo. Crear, evaluar e implementar la eficacia de la aplicación MoILCaps en el contexto de la educación superior. Con fundamento en las teorías cognitiva, constructivista y conectivista, se ha desarrollado una app con un modelo de diseño instruccional basado en la experiencia del usuario. Está destinada al autoaprendizaje por parte del estudiantado de Ciencias Sociales. Método. Con la colaboración tanto del profesorado como del estudiantado se elaboró la aplicación, siguiendo el modelo Análisis, Diseño, Desarrollo y Evaluación (ADDIE), por medio de las fases de análisis, diseño, desarrollo, implementación y evaluación. La última fase proporcionó las propuestas de mejora para la optimización de la versión final de la herramienta, una web progresiva de acceso abierto. Resultados. La aplicación desarrollada se organiza en seis cápsulas que siguen el marco de ACRL (Association of College and Research Libraries) para la alfabetización informacional en educación superior (2015): aprender, buscar, evaluar, crear, investigar y difundir. Incluye recursos multimedia en forma de microcontenidos que ponen en relieve la legibilidad, organización y visualización como características claves. Este modelo de app centrada en la experiencia del usuario constituye un instrumento relevante para fomentar la docencia de ALFIN (Alfabetización Informacional) por parte del profesorado y la biblioteca. Conclusiones. Los diferentes análisis, seguidos de las propuestas de mejora y las revisiones, conllevaron la consecución de una aplicación de gran utilidad para el estudiantado, el profesorado y la biblioteca. Las bibliotecas, junto al profesorado, juegan un papel crucial como agentes activos en la formación de la alfabetización informacional, que se ha de adaptar a la incorporación de las tecnologías móviles en respuesta a las necesidades de la sociedad actual.

Modified Weighted Mean Filter to Improve the Baseline Reduction Approach for Emotion Recognition

Participants' emotional reactions are strongly influenced by several factors such as personality traits, intellectual abilities, and gender. Several studies have examined the baseline reduction approach for emotion recognition using electroencephalogram signal patterns containing external and internal interferences, which prevented it from representing participants’ neutral state. Therefore, this study proposes two solutions to overcome this problem. Firstly, it offers a modified weighted mean filter method to eliminate the interference of the electroencephalogram baseline signal. Secondly, it determines an appropriate baseline reduction method to characterize emotional reactions after the smoothing process. Data collected from four scenarios conducted on three datasets was used to reduce the interference and amplitude of the electroencephalogram signals. The result showed that the smoothing process can eliminate interference and lower the signal's amplitude. Based on the three baseline reduction methods, the Relative Difference method is appropriate for characterizing emotional reactions in different electroencephalogram signal patterns and has higher accuracy. Based on testing on the DEAP dataset, these proposed methods achieved accuracies of 97.14, 99.70, and 96.70% for the four categories of emotions, the two categories of arousal, and the two categories of valence, respectively. Furthermore, on the DREAMER dataset, these proposed methods achieved accuracies of 89.71, 97.63, and 96.58% for the four categories of emotions, the two categories of arousal, and the two categories of valence, respectively. Finally, on the AMIGOS dataset, these proposed methods achieved accuracies of 99.59, 98.20, and 99.96% for the four categories of emotions, the two categories of arousal, and the two categories of valence, respectively.

Quality in the implementation of e-learning in health universities can be measured both during the learning process and after the learning ends. Measurement can be performed through evaluation activities. The evaluation model needed was an innovative evaluation model that can look for the dominant aspects that determined the quality of e-learning implementation. One breakthrough evaluation model produced in this research to answer this need was the Formative-Summative evaluation model based on the Tri Pramana-Weighted Product. The main objective of this research was to show the quality of the Formative-Summative evaluation model design based on the Tri Pramana-Weighted Product. This research approach was based on the Borg & Gall development model, which focused on the design development stage. The subjects involved in conducting trials of the evaluation model design were 34 respondents. The technique for determining the subject was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. In addition, the tool used to conduct the trial was a questionnaire. The location for filling out the questionnaire was in health universities and colleges in the province of Bali. The technique used to analyze the data from the test results was descriptive quantitative by comparing the average percentage of the quality of the test results with the percentage of quality that refers to the five-scale categorization. The results showed that the percentage of the design quality of the Formative-Summative evaluation model based on the Tri Pramana-Weighted Productof 88.02%. This means that the quality of the evaluation model design was included in the good category. The impact of the results of this research on the field of education was to present an innovation in evaluation activities that made it easier for educational evaluators to measure the quality of e-learning, especially in health universities and colleges.
