Objetivo: caracterizar as internações realizadas em leitos em saúde mental dos hospitais gerais de referência da 4ª Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, durante o ano de 2016. Método: trata-se de estudo transversal, retrospectivo, no qual foram analisadas 1.391 internações em seis hospitais de referência em saúde mental, contemplando as internações de pessoas com transtornos mentais e comportamentais, bem como os decorrentes do uso de álcool e outras drogas. Os dados foram coletados nos meses de maio e junho de 2017 e analisados por meio de estatísticas no software Statistical Package for the Social Sciencies. Resultados: constatou-se que as internações, em sua maioria, foram de jovens adultos, do sexo masculino, com predominância na faixa etária de 18 a 39 anos de idade. O diagnóstico referente aos transtornos mentais e comportamentais derivados do uso de álcool e outras drogas apresentou maior prevalência. O município que com a maior prevalência de internação foi Cacequi; o dispositivo que mais encaminhou para internação foram os Centros de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool e Drogas; as internações voluntárias foram as que mais ocorreram; e o mais longo tempo de duração foi o período de 16 a 30 dias. Conclusão: essa caracterização possibilitou o conhecimento de indicadores importantes para a rede de atenção em saúde mental e poderá contribuir no planejamento dos gestores dos municípios da área de abrangência e dos hospitais gerais. ABSTR ACT Objective: to characterize the mental health hospitalizations beds in the referral general hospitals of the 4th Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, during 2016. Method: it is a cross-sectional, retrospective study in which 1,391 hospitalizations in six referral hospitals in mental health were analyzed, including hospitalizations of people with mental and behavioral disorders, and also hospitalizations from the use of alcohol and other drugs. Data were collected in May and June 2017 and analyzed using statistics in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software. Results: most of the hospitalizations were of young adults, male, predominantly in the age group of 18 to 39 years old. The diagnosis regarding mental and behavioral disorders from the use of alcohol and other drugs was more prevalent. The municipality with the highest prevalence of hospitalization was Cacequi; the Centros de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool e Drogas was the center that most referred for hospitalization; voluntary hospitalizations were the most frequent ones, and the longest hospitalization was from 16 to 30 days. Conclusion: this characterization allowed knowing the important indicators for the mental health care network and may contribute to the planning of the managers of the municipalities in the coverage area and the general hospitals.

This data can indicate that despite there being less women that use alcohol in a problematic way in comparison to men, the gender issue is a defi ning element of vulnerability for women, since they count with less support, associated with stigma and a higher degree of social reproach for women in the community, since once they drink they deviate from the role of a good mother, carer for their children, husband and house (Alves, 2015). Rural Brazilian population suffers with several situations of vulnerability, living in poor life conditions and with diffi cult access to healthcare. This study aimed to investigate life conditions and forms of social support in rural settlements in Piauí, regarding cases of Common Mental Disorder (CMD) and abusive use of alcohol. Therefore, a cross sectional study was conducted in two settlements: Santo Antonio (n = 1,060) and Canárias (n = 432), totalising 1,492 participants. The instruments used were a socialdemographic questionnaire; the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20), the Alcohol Use Disorders Identifi cation Test (AUDIT) and the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS). Among the participants who fi tted the inclusion and exclusion criteria to participate in the study (n = 762), it was identifi ed 160 (21%) cases of CMD in the two settlements, with higher prevalence among women and people over 30 years old; and 89 (11.6%) of risky consume, harmful use and alcohol dependency. Regarding social support, participants considered insuffi cient and not enough present in the daily life. The perception of fragility of support in the fi ve evaluated dimensions (material, information, affective, emotional and positive social interaction) is associated with problems in the infrastructure, and in life conditions and it presents important differences between men and women.

(5) Given the presence of many women in this statistical scenario, and that consumption of illicit drugs is still associated with promiscuity and immorality, this exposes them to situations of violence, and promotes the emergence of comorbidities, including psychiatric disorders such as: depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders, among others. (6) These factors can contribute to the loss of existential value and, consequently, to suicidal behavior.…”

Ideação suicida e consumo de drogas ilícitas por mulheres

Resumo Objetivo Analisar a relação entre ideação suicida e consumo de drogas ilícitas em mulheres. Métodos Estudo analítico realizado com 369 mulheres atendidas em Unidades Básicas de Saúde utilizando para investigação do consumo de drogas ilícitas o Non-Student Drugs Use Questionnaire e para investigação da ideação suicida o Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Resultados Verificou-se que existe associação entre ideação suicida e o uso de tranquilizantes sem prescrição médica (p=0,005), de solventes (p=0,006) e de maconha (p=0,003). O consumo de tranquilizantes aumenta em 2,7 vezes (IC=1,372-5,608) as chances de as mulheres terem ideação suicida quando comparadas com aquelas que não fazem uso das referidas drogas, bem como pelo uso de solventes em 10,1 vezes (IC=2,197-46,967) e o uso de maconha em 3,3 vezes (IC=1,865-13,900). Conclusão Os indicadores produzidos apontam que uso de drogas ilícitas pelas mulheres tem implicação grave e, portanto, necessita de intervenções efetivas que devem focalizar, sobretudo, na prevenção da ideação suicida, uma vez que a progressão dessa ideação poderá convergir para desfechos trágicos que incluem tentativa de suicídio, automutilação e suicídio.
