Uma Análise da Pesquisa Sobre Educação à Distância nos Periódicos Brasileiros de Administração (2002 – 2011)

Abstract

The thematic of Distance Learning (DE) has gained more space inside the research in the social sciences and humanities. This paper is based on research of Brazilian management periodicals to understand how the DE has been studied in the area. As a way to delimit the data collection, the articles used for analysis were published in scientific reviews QUALIS A2, B1 and B2, between 2002 and 2011. After analyzing the data, the following conclusions can be done: there is a strong predominance of empirical research, which in turn are embedded within the functionalist paradigm; concomitantly, there is a strong use of qualitative inquiry within which the research strategy predominant is the study case; finally, the interview is in the data collection technique most used.
