This study aims to determine how students’ creative thinking skills are by applying the scaffolding integrated problem based learning (PBL) model in biochemistry learning. The research method used is the mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The sampling technique used was total sampling and data collection was carried out using creative thinking ability questionnaires, student observation sheets and interviews with students. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, it was found that the results of student observations were in the good category and students’ creative thinking abilities were in the very good category. In addition, there is a significant difference in the average value in each class, namely class A with C, and class B with C. The findings in this study are strengthened by the results of interviews where it can be concluded that the PBL model with integrated scaffolding in learning can improve students’ creative thinking skills. Daun Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki kandungan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin dan terpenoid yang berfungsi sebagai antibakteri. Ekstrak daun mengkudu telah diketahui memiliki aktivitas antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus namun pengujiannya dalam bentuk sediaan krim belum pernah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol 96% daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dalam bentuk sediaan krim. Metode yang dipakai yaitu metode difusi sumuran. Bahan aktif yang dipakai adalah ekstrak etanol 96% daun mengkudu dengan variasi F0, F1 25%, F2 50% dan F3 75%. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa daun mengkudu dapat diformulasikan dalam bentuk sediaan krim dengan sifat mutu yang baik. Hasil pengujian organoleptik krim berbentuk semisolid berwarna hijau dengan bau khas daun mengkudu,rasa pahit dan homogen. Krim mempunyai pH 6,1 – 6,6 yang aman bagi kulit, daya sebar memenuhi syarat (5-7 cm), ,viskositas memenuhi syarat (2000-50000 cPs) dan tipe krim M/A. Hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus menunjukkan bahwa formula ke 3 menunjukkan aktivitas aktibakteri yang paling kuat dibanding formula lain dengan diameter daya hambat sebesar 3,73 mm. Dari hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun mengkudu memiliki aktivitas antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada sediaan krim dengan sifat mutu fisik yang baik.

Fresh water fish, such as carp (Cyprinus carpio), koi (Cyprinus carpio), koki (Carassius auratus) and comet (Carassius auratus auratus) have great opportunities for developing aquaculture in Indonesia. However, the presence of argulosis disease caused by ectoparasites Argulus sp. be one of the obstacles. This parasitic infestation can cause fish to experience a decrease in body weight, weakness, bleeding, secondary infection, decrease in sale value and even death. This condition economically will have an impact on decreasing the income of cultivators. The use of synthetic chemicals, including trichlorfon as an insecticide, has been used to control this ectoparasite. However, trichlorfon will have an impact on physiological changes, fish growth, and the balance of aquatic ecosystems, because it can leave residues that can enter into environmental components, the active ingredients are very difficult to decompose in nature and resistance can occur in target parasites so that the eggs can reappear when used. Insecticides not in accordance with the rules of use. In addition, it can cause residues in the body of the fish. Alternatives for controlling argulosis in fish farming can use medicinal ingredients derived from plants. Pharmacologically medicinal plants have therapeutic effects as antibacterial, antiparasitic and immunostimulant, apart from that they are safe for the environment and have minimal side effects for fish and humans who consume them. So the purpose of writing this article is to describe the potential of plants as medicinal plants to treat argulosis disease in cultivated freshwater fish. Based on the above studies, proves that several plant species, including Morinda citrifolia, Carica papaya, Moringa oleifera, Syzygium aromaticum, Nicotiana tabacum, Allium sativum and Areca catechu, have been able to control Argulosis disease caused by ectoparasites Argulus sp. which infects several types of cultivated fish including goldfish (Cyprinus carpio), koi (Cyprinus carpio), comets (Carassius auratus auratus), and koki (Carassius auratus). A treatment used by immersion. The dosage used varies depending on the preparation, the type of plant and the type and size of the fish.
