UDATSU AND DAIKOKU-BASHIRA : Architectural difference of Munamochi-Bashira in middle post line of gabled vernacular house

Abstract: This paper traces some links between Udatsu and Daikoku・ bashira . Both of them were seen in v ¢ macular houses of town houses as well as of houses . The paper concludes that Udatsu a 皿 d Daikoku − bashira were origi 鑰 any Munamochi − bashi − ra which was a post s ロ pporting a ridge directly , The archetypes are chosen as the late ・ medieval strueture of tow − spart depth and Hottate − bashlra which was a post wlth 倣 ed end in a pit of the carth .
