Trap distribution and photo‐stimulated luminescence in LaSrAl3O7:Eu2+ long‐lasting phosphors for optical data storage

Abstract: Here, a green emission persistent luminescent phosphor LaSrAl3O7:Eu2+ which is chargeable by UV light, was synthesized by solid‐state reaction method. Elemental mapping and fluorescence microscopy photoluminescence of the sample demonstrated the homogeneous distribution of La, Sr, Al, O, and Eu in the phosphor. Rietveld refinement shows that the as‐prepared sample belongs to the tetragonal crystalline structure with space group of P421m. The Eu2+:5d‐4f broad persistent luminescence with maximum emission peakin… Show more

“…Computed radiography, firstly introduced by Fujifilm in 1983, is a technology on the basis of recording the latent image in a photostimulable phosphor-contained imaging plate through laser-light stimulation [ 39 , 40 ]. A computed radiography system mainly comprises two components, including an imaging plate and a computed radiography reader.…”

“…The slow attenuation process indicates that the carrier decreases slowly and determines the PersL time. 23 PersL performance is closely related to the depth of the trap and the number of electrons captured in the trap. In order to obtain the relevant information about the depth of the trap and the number of electrons captured in the trap, we tested the TL curve of the sample CNO: x%Tb 3+ (x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0) irradiated with 254 nm UV lamp for 20 minute.…”

“…And it has been widely used in night lighting, defense military, optical memory, and many other aspects. [ 1–4 ] The development history of PersL materials is very long, and it has also been extensively studied and reported. [ 5 ] At present, the research on short‐wavelength visible PersL phosphor materials is relatively mature, such as SrAl 2 O 4 :Eu 2+ ,Dy 3+ (green, >24 h); [ 6 ] CaAl 2 O 4 :Eu 2+ ,Nd 3+ (blue, >19 h), [ 7 ] and Y 2 O 2 S:Eu 3+ ,Mg 2+ ,Ti 4+ (orange‐red, >5 h), [ 8 ] etc.…”
