High‐temperature persistent luminescence and visual dual‐emitting optical temperature sensing in self‐activated CaNb2O6: Tb3+ phosphor

Abstract: The long persistent luminescence (PersL) and color adjustable properties in high‐temperature environment are of great significance for luminescent materials in the fields of multiple anti‐counterfeiting, biological imaging, and optical temperature sensing (OTS). In this work, a series of self‐activated CaNb2O6 (CNO): Tb3+ phosphors have been successfully synthesized by solid‐state reaction route, the OTS, and temperature‐dependent PersL of these phosphors is carried out and investigated in detail. Relying on t… Show more

“…Dyes are one of the most dangerous groups of chemical compounds found in industrial effluents that are of considerable importance due to the reduction of light permeability and thus disrupting the process of photosynthesis in water sources. [5][6][7] These compounds also have an aesthetic negative effect on water quality for drinking and other uses 4 and at the same time, they cause allergies, dermatitis, irritation, 8 cancer 9 as well as genetic mutations in humans. 10 Methylene blue is the most common dye compound used for cotton, wool and silk coloring.…”
