Toward a New Paradigm in Substance Abuse and other Problem Behavior Prevention for Youth: Youth Development and Empowerment Approach

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to 1) address a paradigm shift taking place in the field of substance abuse prevention directed for youth and 2) to introduce an innovative approach to substance abuse and other problem behavior prevention that reflects this shift in prevention paradigm.
