Education systems and institutions, often historically considered to be resolute, slow-moving entities transformed virtually overnight during the earlier stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating nimbleness in adversity. This paper describes the first-hand experiences of teaching staff and students from a UK university which pivoted to emergency remote teaching for a core second-year module in engineering, focused on entrepreneurship. A range of methods are used including self-reflection, summative, formative, and focus-group student feedback. The paper provides an insight for readers who may be interested in the practical challenges associated with moving from an academic module typically delivered in a face-to-face learning environment accommodating a large student cohort (n = 177), to one that exists entirely in the digital domain. Our results show learning outcomes were fully met despite stark differences in quality of learning environments amongst students. Students reported benefits to remote learning because it offers a blended approach of both asynchronous content and synchronous sessions, with the latter enhancing engagement and providing structure to working weeks. Issues of presence emerged amongst group work: whilst it might be easier to confront some individuals for lack of contribution, it is also easier for those individuals to disengage. There was widespread support for the Microsoft Teams platform amongst students and staff but the former group reported this lacked a social environment in which relationships amongst team members could be nurtured informally, such as was experienced via social media.

Objective - This study aims to elaborate business resilience of small medium enterprises and to test the impact of rational and irrational antecedents of business resilience during COVID-19 crisis. Methodology/Technique - It is cross-sectional and causal study for testing five hypothesizes. Convenience approach was used as non-probabilistic sampling method. It involved 506 small medium enterprises in Jawa and Sumatera, the biggest islands in Indonesia. Collected data were structured with PLS based Structural Equation Modelling. Findings – The result explained that business resilience is influenced positively, directly, and significantly by business flexibility and workplace spirituality. Business flexibility is influenced by workplace spirituality, pro-social leadership, and alliance capability. Pro-social leadership of owners and/or managers influences implementation of health protocol and alliance capability. The Analysis of the Innovation Consciousness of College Student Entrepreneurs Under the Teaching Concept of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture

The purpose of this study was to analyze the current situation of the entrepreneurial consciousness of college student entrepreneurs and to explore the role of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in social and economic development. Based on the teaching concept of Chinese excellent traditional culture, first, the relevant theories of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the characteristics of entrepreneurial talents in colleges and entrepreneurs, are analyzed and elaborated; moreover, the definition of college student entrepreneur is explained; then, from the perspective of entrepreneurial teaching management, entrepreneurial education, and place support, the questionnaire method is selected to show the understanding of the entrepreneurship of college students; finally, based on the Cobb-Douglas function, the model before and after the introduction of innovative and entrepreneurial talents is tested and analyzed. Investigation and analysis suggest that most college students have entrepreneurial intention, and 61.5% of them choose to start their own business after having working experience; the relative freedom of time and space is the main factor to attract college students to start their own businesses, accounting for 42.3%; 69.3% of college students think that capital is a restricting factor for entrepreneurship, while 76.2% think that lack of experience is a major restricting factor for entrepreneurship; college students have a certain demand for entrepreneurship training and guidance from the school, especially in the setting of entrepreneurship incubation park and resource pool; the characteristics of entrepreneurship, professional skills, and interpersonal resources are more crucial for college students; most college students have a positive cognition of the excellent traditional Chinese teaching concepts; the analysis based on the Cobb-Douglas function reveals that the introduction of innovative and entrepreneurial talents can promote economic development. This exploration has a positive effect on the cultivation of awareness of college students of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as the relationship discussion between the introduction of innovative and entrepreneurial talents and social economy.
