In order to regulate its release, avoid repeated dosing, and consequently maximize bioavailability, it is essential to develop and construct floating microspheres of glipizide. According to Strubel et al., HPMC and EC were combined to form glipizide-loaded floating microspheres using a solvent evaporation technique. Drug loading, particle size, and percent drug release were used as response factors in the formulation optimization process, which took into account polymer concentration and stirring rate as independent variables.The bulk density, tapped density, flowability, and particle size of the formulation batches were all evaluated. Its in-vitro performance was assessed using the standard pharmacopoeal assays as well as other procedures, including yield (%), drug polymer compatibility (FTIR scan), and tapped density (%). Analysis of compressibility particle size, drug entrapment effectiveness, surface topography (SEM), and an in vitro release research. with a yield of 88.30±0.53%, an ideal drug loading of 85.50±0.55%, and a preferred buoyancy of 91.93±0.61%, tiny to big and spherical microspheres were created at 40°C using a 1:6 polymer, 2% Tween 80, and that temperature. The development of a stable emulsion and equally sized internal phase droplets was largely dependent on the emulsifying agent. A crucial element in the emulsification process is the propeller's stirring speed. Additionally, it influences the droplets' size and shape, which has an impact on the microspheres. The decision was made to incorporate stirring rate and polymer concentration as independent variables in the experimental design while keeping the other variables fixed as a result of the debate that was just had. Measurements of the hypoglycemic response brought on by oral administration were used to determine the in vivo effectiveness of the optimized batch in healthy normal Wistar rats (250–300gm).

The article presents the results of research on the development of dosage forms with essential oil of chamomile (Chamomillae recutita L.) for dental use. The object of study was hydrophilic gel base under the code name "Chamazulenogelum". Materials and Methods. Rheological studies were carried out on a rotational viscometer Visco Star Plus (Fungilab, Spain). The study of the structural and mechanical properties of the "Chamazulenogelum" ointment was carried out at temperatures of 25, 40, 55 and 70°C. The shear stress and dynamic viscosity of the gels were measured. Based on the obtained results, graphs are constructed that characterize the change in the logarithm of the effective viscosity on the shear flow rate gradient and the dependence of the shear flow rate gradient on the shear stress. The results of rheological studies showed the absence of structural changes in the shear field with destruction or the appearance of new compounds; the thixotropic properties of the hydrophilic gel bases "Chamazulenogelum" were also established. Results and Discussion. As a result of studying the antimicrobial and antifungal activity of dosage forms with chamomile essential oil, it was found that the gels inhibit the growth of test cultures in vitro to some extent. High-intensity antimicrobial activity was shown by the hydrophilic gel "Chamazulenogelum" against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Conclusion: The investigated samples of "Chamazulenogelum" gels do not undergo strong structural changes in the shear field, that is, there are no intrasystem rearrangements with destruction or with the formation of new compounds. The thixotropic properties on the hydrophilic gel base "Chamazulenogelum" have been established, which characterize good smearability and the ability to extrude from the tube. The pronounced antimicrobial activity of the developed gels "Chamazulenogelum" for topical use provides a basis for further tests included in the drug development cycle.

The Asteraceae family is one of the largest and most numerous families of flowering plants in the world, and to which the genus of Matricaria belongs, which is the object of our study: golden chamomile Matricaria aurea (Loefl.) Sch.Bip. (M. aurea (Loefl.)) and Matricaria chamomilla (L.) (M. chamomilla (L.). These types of Matricaria are widely distributed in Russia and the Middle East and therefore can be successfully used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. The rich composition of biologically active compounds of chamomile has been well studied in numerous chemical studies. The most active components of M. aurea (Loefl.) are flavonoids, apigenin, luteolin, quercetin, patuletin and, also essential oil components such as α-bisabolol, its oxides and azulenes. M. aurea (Loefl.) contains active substances with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, deodorant, carminative, sedative, anticatarrhal and antispasmodic properties. According to many clinical studies, the high potential of M. aurea (Loefl.) for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases of various localization has been convincingly shown. Also, raw M. aurea (Loefl.) can be a source of various compounds used for the treatment of chronic periodontitis. In studies, the antibacterial effect of M. aurea (Loefl.) was obtained in the treatment of inflammatory diseases caused by Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus pyogenes, S. aureus. It has also been proven effective in inflammatory diseases of the urinary system and intestines, antispasmodic effect. As for M. chamomilla (L.), its most active constituents are farnesene, chamazulene, flavonoids (including apigenin, quercetin, patuletin and luteolin) and coumarin. M. chamomilla (L.) topical preparations are highly effective in the complex treatment of many skin diseases, including ultraviolet-induced erythema, contact dermatitis, phlebitis, atopic eczema, radiodermatitis, and for wound healing. Also, preparations derived from M. chamomilla (L.) are used to treat various diseases, including diabetes, nervous disorders, diarrhea, stomatitis, microbial infections, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and gastric disorders. In addition, M. chamomilla (L.) has antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic activity.
