Shintani et al 71 observed that it was more reliable than CT and MRI when dealing with very thin lesions (as thin as 1 mm). It must, however, be pointed out that it can be quite uncomfortable for patients, resulting in pain and gag reflex (although not severe enough to limit the examination).…”
