Performance measurement of logistics companies is based upon various performance indicators. Yet, in the logistics industry, there are several vaguenesses, such as deciding on key indicators and determining interrelationships between performance indicators. In order to resolve these vaguenesses, this paper first presents the stakeholder-informed Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model, by incorporating financial (e.g. cost) and non-financial (e.g. social media) performance indicators, with a comprehensive approach as a response to the major shortcomings of the generic BSC regarding the negligence of different stakeholders. Subsequently, since the indicators are not independent of each other, a robust multi-criteria decision making technique, the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method is implemented to analyze the interrelationships. The integration of these two techniques provides a novel way to evaluate logistics performance indicators from logisticians' perspective. This is a matter that has not been addressed in the logistics industry to date, and as such remains a gap that needs to be investigated. Therefore, the proposed model identifies key performance indicators as well as various stakeholders in the logistics industry, and analyzes the interrelationships among the indicators by using the ANP. Consequently, the results show that educated employee (15.61%) is the most important indicator for the competitiveness of logistics companies.

Previously various studies were conducted concerning the outsourcing and selection of 3PL in different countries but this study aims to find out the reasons of outsourcing and selecting a 3PL from the different industries of Pakistan. The study aimed to collect the data from the manufacturers working in different industries in Pakistan. The researchers have used mean testing to rank the factors as per their importance and the data of 125 respondents were gathered for analysis. Study has found that reduction in the logistics costs is the most important reason for outsourcing 3PL and service quality is the most crucial factor for the selection of any 3PL service providers in Pakistan. The research aims finding the factors for the reasons of outsourcing and selection of a 3PL but it would be useful finding the impact of outsourcing the logistics activities on the organization's performance through qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research provides a vital and practical direction to the Pakistani organizations regarding the decisions of outsourcing and selecting a 3PL service providers. The research will help finding the reasons of outsourcing and selection of any 3PL party. The research aims finding the reasons and selection of 3PL in the organizational perspective of Pakistan as there are very limited past conducted studies.

This research analyses logistics outsourcing services from the viewpoint of client companies (manufacturing companies). The main goal is to show how intensively various logistics outsourcing services are used by Czech manufacturing companies in comparison with other world regions, and which areas of logistics outsourcing should be considered more seriously in order to increase logistic efficiency. The study is based on a quantitative and qualitative investigation of Czech manufacturing companies. Firstly, the brief overview of the present situation in the Czech market is presented. It is based on survey data. The results of this quantitative study are compared with global research activities, especially with the 2013 Third-Party Logistics Study carried out by Capgemini Consulting Company. Next, results of the qualitative investigation are discussed. This part describes the experience of four selected Czech manufacturing companies with logistics outsourcing, the main problems they face in this area and their future plans and expectations. The present study is part of a more complex research currently being carried out by the authors.
