A new mathematical analysis to predict the magnitude size of the distortion products from the signal up-conversion process output is presented. The signal up-conversion process converts the digital baseband from the analog baseband into a radio frequency signal. When the signal baseband involves frequency offsetting then occurring a number of distortion products which can reduce the dynamic range so it is difficult to meet the spectrum mask requirements within the operating band. This paper will focus on methods of new mathematical analysis using a continuous frequency range and only applies to a single side band tone, with constant amplitude into any value of frequency offsets. The novel contribution to the analysis starts at generating the gate signal and convolution of the gate signal into the reference carrier signal. The results show very close between the simulation results and the calculation of the predicted location of the distortions.

<p>A new high speed, low pedestal error bootstrapped CMOS sample and hold (S/H) circuit is proposed for high speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The proposed circuit is made up of CMOS transmission gate (TG) switch and two new bootstrap circuits for each transistor in TG switch. Both TG switch and bootstrap circuits are used to decrease channel charge injection and on-resistance input signal dependency. In result, distortion can be reduced. The decrease of channel charge injection input signal dependency also makes the minimizing of pedestal error by adjusting the width of NMOS and PMOS of TG switch possible. The performance of the proposed circuit was evaluated using HSPICE 0.18-m CMOS process. For 50 MHz sinusoidal 1 V peak-to-peak differential input signal with a 1 GHz sampling clock, the proposed circuit achieves 2.75 mV maximum pedestal error, 0.542 mW power consumption, 90.87 dB SNR, 73.50 SINAD which is equal to 11.92 bits ENOB, -73.58 dB THD, and 73.95 dB SFDR.</p>

As an important detecting, perception and monitoring equipment, the optoelectronic platform is always equipped with a series of optoelectronic devices such as optical imaging device, photoelectric encoder and fiber optic gyroscope. These devices all require high-precision data acquisition systems. As the basic method of sensing a variety of mass physical changes, data acquisition systems have been increasingly used in optical sensing, photoelectric platform control and many other fields. The traditional optoelectronic platform design method uses distributed device for assembly, which occupies a large volume. In this paper, we take the multi-channel acquisition system in consideration, instead of the acquisition circuit scattered in each device, during the optoelectronic platform design process, which can effectively improve the system integration. The characteristics of multi-channel and high-precision data acquisition system are studied, and a multi-channel, high-precision AD data acquisition system is designed and verified. The system provides 16 parallel channels, each channel supports 32-bit sampling accuracy, we adopts FPGA as the core processing device, with gigabit network port for data reporting, this scheme has been applied in gyro test systems and weak signal acquisition systems.
