The Scientific Impact of Applied Biomechanics Research in Artistic Gymnastics

Abstract: The paper investigates the scientific impact of applied biomechanics research in artistic gymnastics. Therefore, biomechanics studies conducted from 2012 to 2014 and published so far were analysed. The learning macro-methods (M-ML) of gymnasts in basic specialization training stage (EPSB) were scientifically argued and practically applied. The biomechanics structure used video-computerized method and postural landmarks method, which identified, measured and analysed the technique key elements in vaults, uneven… Show more

“…The advancement of technology has made biomechanical analysis a crucial component in competitive football training, highlighting the need for precise biomechanical studies to better understand the impact of mechanics on football performance [50]. Future research should continue to delineate the role of biomechanics in sports, aiming to clarify its contributions to In the teaching of the Kinesiology course, a pivotal study was introduced that applied macrolearning methods to train female gymnasts [45]. This study utilized video-computerized methodologies and postural reference points to significantly enhance kinematic and dynamic parameters across gymnastics apparatus like vaults and uneven bars.…”

“…Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sports program based on natural and rhythmic movements with unarmed or hand-held light apparatus accompanied by music, which is a fine art created by physiologists, gymnasts, musicians, and dancers from all over the world [1][2][3]. The reason why rhythmic Gymnastics has such a strong vitality is that it integrates art and sports so that each movement is from the perspective of health and beauty and has a solid scientific foundation [4][5][6]. As a women-specific sport, rhythmic Gymnastics not only caters to women's physiological and psychological characteristics but also emphasizes the beautification of natural movements, correct body posture, as well as flexibility, coordination, and artistry of movements according to women's characteristics [7][8][9][10].…”
