Coal mine accidents are mainly caused by the unsafe behavior of workers. Studying workers' unsafe behaviors can help in regulating such behaviors and reducing the incidence of accidents. However, there is a dearth of systematic literature review in this area, which has hindered mine managers from fully understanding the unsafe behavior of workers. This study aims to address this research gap based on the literature retrieved from the Web of Science. First, a descriptive statistical analysis is conducted on the year, quantity, publications, and keywords of the literature. Second, the influencing factors, formation mechanism, and pre-control methods of coal miners' unsafe behavior are determined and discussed, and the research framework and future research directions of this study are proposed. The study results will help mine safety managers fully understand the influencing factors, formation mechanism, and pre-control methods of workers' unsafe behavior, and lay a theoretical foundation for the future research direction in this field.

Indonesia’s batik industry is growing rapidly, including the segment specializing in natural dyes. However, this has produced concerns regarding sustainability deriving from, for example, the use of environmental pollutants in the field. This research aims to propose a set of preliminary indicators to facilitate the assessment of the sustainability of the natural-dye-based batik industry. We selected Batik Preketek, a company in Pekalongan City, Indonesia, as a case study and received support from representative panellists who were knowledgeable on these issues. We employed a mixed-methods approach, with data collected from field observations, laboratory analyses, structured and semi-structured interviews and secondary sources. The validated indicators were then applied to assess the current sustainability of batik production. The indicators used included five indicators from the environmental dimension, four from the economic dimension and six from the social dimension. Assessment of the company’s sustainability level produced a score of 77.50, indicating that it could be categorized as sustainable. The instrument developed was proved capable of capturing major sustainability issues and delivering prioritized strategies to improve sustainability.

The formation mechanism and generation condition configuration of urban residents' public safety behavior crucial for reducing urban public safety accidents were identified using the structural equation model (SEM) and the fsQCA method to analyze 465 survey samples. The findings showed that organizational safety communication, community safety support, family safety climate, safety consciousness, and safety motivation are driving factors influencing individual safety behavior and that residents' safety behavior is positively influenced by emotional safety culture. Furthermore, nine generational configurations of these antecedent variables are sufficient to explain the emergence of high levels of safety behavior. Because most previous research has focused on the linear effects of single or multiple factors on outcome variables while ignoring "combined effects," this study employed fsQCA to identify "combined effects" among antecedent factors of safety behavior from multiple perspectives. The results revealed that no single factor, but rather a combination of factors, led to high levels of safety behavior, shedding light on the importance of "combined effects" among variables and providing theoretical and practical insights into urban residents' public safety behavior.
