Abstract-The Holy Quran, due to its unique style and allegorical nature, needs special attention about search and information retrieval issues. Many works have been done to accomplish keyword search from Holy Quran. The main problem in all these works is that these are either static or they does not provide us semantic search. In this paper, we propose that the concepts of ontology of semantic web can be applied for carrying out semantic search in Holy Quran. Index Terms-Framework, information retrieval, ontology, semantic search.

Internet has become a huge and updating information warehouse, and provides a new source for us to build a well technological resources sharing system to support our research work and development activities. However, the technological resources on Internet is usually diverse, professional and complex. They are difficult to be retrieved precisely and completely by traditional search engines. This paper proposed a new search engine system based on ontology of technological resources. In that system, a database with ontology knowledge warehouse was designed to store all related conceptions and the relationships of technological domains. By semantic analysis of users’ queries and a heuristic search, the expected technological resources can be retrieved more precisely and completely to satisfy their intentions

In grid condition, the traditional search engine can find few resources. It cannot meet the users' requirements. The grid resources cannot be utilized efficiently. A search engine system based on ontology of grid resources is hereby proposed. In this system, a database with ontology knowledge is designed to store all related conceptions, the relationship of grid domains and instances. Upon analyzing the semantic of users' queries, the expected resources can be retrieved more precisely and completely to satisfy their intentions.
