Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri tinggi dan rendah, dan (3) pengaruh interaksi model pembelajaran dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimen semu dengan desain one way pretest-posttest non-quivalent control group. Populasi dan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuisioner efikasi diri dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan ANAKOVA dua jalur. Tindak lanjut uji ANAKOVA dua jalur dengan Least Significant Diffeerence (LSD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran langsung, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri tinggi dan rendah, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi model pembelajaran dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Laboratory education is essential for enhancing both the understanding of concepts and skills of students. A significant barrier to excelling in laboratory practices relates to a lack of self-efficacy. Being complementary to mainstream theoretical learning, the contribution of laboratory education to impart knowledge and hands-on proficiency is often under-represented. The aim of this research was to validate a novel experimental self-efficacy (ESE) scale and explore its relationship with laboratory outcomes, using gender and year of study as mediating variables. ESE refers to students' faith in their potential to carry out experiments and achieve desired outcomes in laboratory settings. When students possess strong ESE, they display more confidence in their abilities, accept tasks of greater difficulty levels, and have more tenacity to overcome obstacles. Data from 1,123 students were analyzed, focusing on the link between ESE constructs and laboratory experiments. Results indicated that ESE had a significant impact on laboratory performance in students of both genders and was related to factors such as laboratory hazards, conceptual understanding, the sufficiency of laboratory resources, and procedural complexities. The study affirms the validity and applicability of the ESE-scale to not only multiple disciplines such as chemistry, physics, and biology but also its relationship with students' academic outcomes in laboratories.

School leadership plays a central role in creating an inclusive learning environment that provides opportunities for students with disabilities to thrive. This chapter will shed light on the historical background of schools as they shifted to embrace inclusion and outline the key challenges that impeded school leadership from reaching full-bodied inclusive schools. To that end, this chapter will include an overview derived from the literature regarding the most imperative leadership practices that principals need to possess in order to facilitate the inclusion of students with disabilities into mainstream education: (1) demonstrating basic knowledge of special education, (2) building collaborative structures and processes to work together with students' interests at heart, and (3) embodying positive attitudes and beliefs toward special education. At the end of the chapter, the authors will provide key lessons, recommendations, and possible implications for improving leadership preparation.
