The operationalization of the concept of political tolerance: Contribution to the study of social change

Abstract

Concept of political tolerance is problematized in this paper. By emphasizing the complexity and multidimensionality of this concept, the authors point out that more attention should be devoted to its operationalization in domestic research. Therefore, this paper focuses on the more precise definition of political tolerance and its sociological determinants. In the discussion, the authors examine the methodology and the results of one of the most important survey of political tolerance in the Republic of Serbia.
