The morphology of Candida albicans in human candidosis. A light and electron microscopic study

Abstract: Summary The cytology of the fungus species Candida albicans in human candidosis was studied by correlated light and electron microscopy. On this, we have found only light microscopic studies in the literature, whereas the relevant electron microscopic papers, to our knowledge, exclusively demonstrate the cytology of Candida albicans strains grown on culture media.
