This study aims to describe and analyze: the transformational leadership of the principal, work ethic, motivation of achievement, and teacher performance; the influence of transformational leadership towards the motivation of achievement; the influence of work ethic towards the motivation of achievement; the influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance; the influence work ethic towards teacher performance; the influence motivation to achieve the performance of teachers; the influence transformational leadership of teacher performance through the motivation of achievement; the influence work ethic towards teacher performance through the motivation of achievement. This research uses a descriptive-verificative research method with a quantitative approach—the number of samples of this study is 176 teachers. Data collection instruments are questionnaires that have qualified for validity and reliability tests. Data analysis to test hypotheses using path analysis with multiple regression methods. The results showed that: the transformational leadership of the principal, the work ethic of the teacher, teacher performance motivation, and teacher performance fall into the high category; there is a direct influence of the headmaster's transformational leadership on the teacher's outstanding motivation; the direct influence of the work ethic on the teacher's achievement motivation; there is a direct influence of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance; there is a direct influence of the work ethic on the teacher's performance; there is a direct influence of the teacher's motivation on teacher performance; there is an indirect influence of the headmaster's transformational leadership on the teacher's performance through the motivation of the achievement; there is an indirect influence of the work ethic on the teacher's performance through the motivation of the teacher.

This study aims to determine and describe the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees and to find out what obstacles are obstacles to the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees at SMA Negeri 2 Lahat. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type and uses purposive sampling technique. There are five roles of the Principal and two obstacles faced by the Principal in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees. From the results of the research shows that the principal of SMA Negeri 2 Lahat carries out the role as a leader by planning and deliberating, as a manager by creating collaboration between teachers and employees, as educators by preparing learning program plans as administrators by managing facilities and infrastructure as well as financial administration, motivators. by providing motivation with a conducive school environment. The obstacles faced by school principals in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees are teachers and employees who are less disciplined in carrying out their duties so that they are also difficult to improve their work discipline, as well as obstacles in inadequate school facilities and infrastructure.

One of the indicators for the success of quality education in schools is to pay attention to and improve a teacher's performance. The urgency of a teacher's performance has implications for the effectiveness of the learning process in schools. The essence of this research is to determine the role of teacher certification, motivation, and job satisfaction in influencing teacher performance. This study uses a literature and field research design with a quantitative causality approach. Collect data in the field using observation methods and distributing questionnaires online from July to September 2020. The questionnaire was measured by several questions related to teacher certification, motivation, job satisfaction, and teacher performance. This study used a sample of 215 respondents to determine the sample size using the purposive sampling method. A partial least square is applied to examine the relationship between teacher performance, teacher certification, motivation, and job satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that of the three hypotheses developed, there is one hypothesis that is rejected, namely for the effect of the motivation variable on the teacher performance variable, the results do not have a significant effect. As for the variable teacher certification and job satisfaction, the results significantly influenced teacher performance. The results of this study indicate that of the three hypotheses developed, there is one hypothesis that is rejected, namely for the effect of the motivation variable on the teacher performance variable, the results do not have a significant effect. As for the variable teacher certification and job satisfaction, the results significantly influenced teacher performance.
