“…Some of the results of the HLA-A, B, C, and DR typing of the 33 seropositive and the 15 seronegative RA patients are given in Table 1. No strong association was found between any of the HLA-A, B, and C antigens and RA, except for B15 and Cw3, which may be explained by nonrandom associations to D/DRw4 (13). The frequencies of the HLA-A1, A2, Bw35, B37, B40, and Cw3 antigens differed somewhat between the seropositive and the seronegative group, and the A I , Aw 19, B8, and B 12 antigens differed in frequency between female and male RA patients, but none of the differences were significant when corrected for number of comparisons.…”
