Potatoes are the fourth most important crop for human consumption. In the 18 century, potatoes saved the European population from starvation, and since then, it has become one of the primary crops cultivated in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. Potato production worldwide reached 368.8 million tonnes in 2019, 371.1 million tonnes in 2020, and 376.1 million tonnes in 2021, with production expected to grow alongside the worldwide population. However, the agricultural sector is currently suffering from urbanization. With the next generation of farmers relocating to cities, there is a diminishing and ageing agricultural workforce. Consequently, farms urgently need innovation, particularly from a technology perspective. As a result, this work is focused on reviewing the worldwide developments in potato harvesting, with an emphasis on mechatronics, the use of intelligent systems and the opportunities that arise from applications utilising the Internet of Things (IoT). Our work covers worldwide scientific publications in the last five years, sustained by public data made available from different governments. We end our review by providing a discussion on the future trends derived from our analysis.

Передумовами подальшого підвищення урожайності насіння сої в Україні за інтенсивного землеробства та екстремальних погодних умов є вирощування у господарствах кілька сортів різних груп стиглості. Визначальним чинником при структурному розподілі між групами сортів сої за періодом стиглості мають бути показники продуктивності, якості урожаю, технологічності і стійкості до несприятливих екологічних умов. Мета – проаналізувати групи сортів сої за скоростиглістю за показниками екологічності, технологічності вирощування, стійкістю до несприятливих умов вегетації, рівнем урожайності та вмістом білка і жиру у насінні, що дозволить рекомендувати оптимальний структурний розподіл між сортами різних груп стиглості в Україні. Дослідження проводили опрацюванням Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні на 2022 рік. Оцінювали рекомендовані до вирощування в Україні усі внесені до реєстру групи сортів сої за урожайністю насіння, стійкістю до хвороб, несприятливих погодних умов, зокрема посухи, вилягання рослин і осипання насіння. Серед груп стиглості сої найчисельнішою є середньо ранньостиглі сорти, що складають 56% від усіх сортів. Група ранньостиглих сортів у структурі займає 25%, середньостиглі – 11%, ультра скоростиглі – 6%, і сорти середньо пізньостиглої групи за кількістю є найменш чисельними – 2% або лише 4 сорти. Найвищою урожайністю насіння в Україні відзначаються середньоранньостиглі сорти сої – 2,73 т/га. Саме сорти цієї групи мають бути основними у структурі сої в Україні. Найвищий вміст білка у насінні встановлений в ультра скоростиглих сортів – 40,7%, жиру – в середньостиглих сортів – 21,6%. Найвищою стійкістю до вилягання рослин, осипання насіння, до посухи та хвороб відзначаються ультра скоростиглі та середньо пізньостиглі сорти сої. Тому доповнюючими до середньо ранньостиглих сортів сої мають бути ультра скоростиглі та середньо пізньостиглі сорти. Частка ранньостиглих та середньостиглих має бути найменша.

The article analyzes the peculiarities of black pine reproduction and identifies the most promising methods of propagation for the territory of Vinnytsia city (Ukraine). Having analyzed the germination capacity of the black pine seed material, we found that the percentage of seed germination ranged from 38% (courtyards) to 70% (“Podillya” botanical garden). Examining the duration of black pine seedlings emergence, we found that in almost all objects of the city the largest number of seedlings were established on the 7th day (about 35 pcs.), then the process declined, and the smallest number appeared on the 13th day (about 5-7 pcs.). Studying the black pine propagation by cuttings, we found that when fed with two different rooting stimulants, the best result was obtained with the application of Korenevin (48 pieces), and a slightly lower acceptance rate was demonstrated with the use of Epine (about 34 pieces).
