The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of using the mistake buster technique on grammar mastery for English writing classes. The research approach uses quantitative research through the design of a one-group experimental method. The research subjects were 30 semester III students for the 2022-2023 academic year, STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. Samples were taken randomly with the criteria that students had received English writing skills learning. So, this research was conducted at the English Tadris Study Program, STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. The data collection process uses observation, documents, and tests. Data analysis used paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the mistake-buster technique has a positive influence on the ability to master grammar while learning to write English. This can be seen from the increase in the value achieved by each student or the class average value. Students experience a change in attitude to become more active during learning and can apply their learning experiences to make correct sentences. The results of this study also have implications for teachers' understanding of the importance of understanding learning techniques that are by learning objectives and student learning experiences.

This study investigates the instructional approach English teachers employ in teaching descriptive writing to seventh-grade students at Thammislam Foundation School during the Academic Year 2023. What challenges does the English teacher encounter when instructing seventh-grade students at Thammislam Foundation School during the Academic Year 2023 in the area of writing descriptive texts? The research objectives are categorized into three distinct areas: writing, descriptive text, and the instructional methods employed by English teachers. The present study employed a descriptive qualitative research design. The researcher assumed the role of a non-participant observer. The researcher conducted three observations in a seventh-grade classroom and interviewed with an English teacher to gather information about the instructional methods employed in teaching descriptive writing. The observed population comprises 28 students enrolled in the seventh grade at Thammislam Foundation School during the academic year of 2023. The data collection instruments employed in this study encompassed observation, interviews, and the examination of relevant study documents, including modules, student worksheets, and curriculum materials. The researcher employed a three-step process to analyze the data. The three main components of the research process include data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. Researchers employ triangulation as a means to enhance the trustworthiness of the data. The research findings indicate that the activities conducted by the teacher during the initial and subsequent meetings were consistent with the principles and framework of task-based language teaching. Implementing task-based language teaching in a classroom typically involves three distinct stages: the pre-task stage, the task cycle, and the language focus stage. The challenges encountered by the student included a limited vocabulary and a need for more proficiency in selecting appropriate verbs for constructing sentences. The instructor assigned exercises to enhance the students' vocabulary and proficiency in selecting the appropriate verb for each sentence. The models used for the tasks were evaluated based on their ability to match the given criteria accurately. In addition, the instructor employed a systematic approach to facilitate comprehension among the students, particularly in the context of composing descriptive texts.

Di era globalisasi ini, menguasai bahasa asing adalah hal yang perlu dikembangkan khususnya Bahasa Inggris yang merupakan Bahasa Internasional dan digunakan untuk berkomunikasi bagi masyarakat lingkup antarnegara. Pendidikan Bahasa asing adalah salah satu pendidikan yang menduduki posisi sangat penting untuk diajarkan kepada anak-anak sejak usia dini. Sehingga mereka mampu mengucapkan dan memahami makna setiap kata sesuai dengan konteksnya agar mampu menyusun kalimat dengan tepat dan lancar serta dimengerti oleh lawan bicara. Minimnya pengetahuan Bahasa Inggris pada anak-anak masih menjadi satu permasalahan untuk masa depan mereka, khususnya anak-anak di Asrama Yatim Piatu Hidayatullah. Dua hal yang menyebabkan minimnya kemampuan ini adalah ketersediaan fasilitas yang belum mendukung dan ketersediaan sumber daya manusia tenaga pengajar Bahasa Inggris yang sama sekali belum dimiliki oleh yayasan ini. Seperti yang kita tahu, di era digital 4.0 ini Bahasa inggris merupakan Bahasa yang digunakan dalam berbagai aspek penting seperti teknologi, komunikasi di level Internasional, dan bisnis di berbagai negara. Sehingga untuk mencapai tujuan kegiatan PMkM ini, kami akan mengajarkan kosakata berbahasa Inggris agar mitra PMkM mampu memiliki pemahaman lebih terhadap kosakata Bahasa Inggris. Pada kegiatan ini, tim PMkM menerapkan metode TPR (Total Physical Response). Metode ini tidak menyebabkan murid berada dibawah tekanan atau menyebabkan stress. Kegiatan ini bermaksud meningkatkan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris dan mengembangkan pengetahuan pembendaharaan kosa kata Bahasa Inggris mitra melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang aktif dan menyenangkan kepada mitra di Asrama Yatim Piatu Hidayatullah.Metode kualitatif adalah pendekatan yang yang digunakan pada PMkM ini karena data yang diperoleh bukanlah data berupa angka melainkan data berupa kata-kata yang dipahami dengan cara memberikan gambaran dan uraian. Penyampaian materi tersebut dilakukan oleh tim PMkM Prodi Sastra Inggris Unpam.
