“…Product Characteristics Assessment Instruments to Measure Students' High Order Thinking Abilities High Order Thinking Skills are abilities that occur when someone takes new information and information that has been stored in his memory, then combined so that they are interconnected to achieve a goal or find answers in confusing situations (Kartimi & Liliasari, 2012;Lewis & Smith, 1993;Putra, Prayitno, & Maridi, 2018;Sutarto, Indrawati, Prihatin, & Dwi, 2018;Yusrizal, Suliyanah, & Basri, 2017). Successful application of high order thinking skills occurs when students successfully explain, decide, demonstrate, and produce problem solving in the context of knowledge and experience (Wenno, 2008).…”

“…Critical thinking is also convergent thinking, logic, and reasoning (Seventika et al, 2017). Several researchers have attempted to strengthen the development of critical thinking skills, including the application of constructivist-based learning strategies (Adak, 2017); scaffolding strategies (Alake & Ogunseemi, 2013); socio-biological case-based learning (Suwono et al, 2017); innovative thematic learning (Pursitasari et al, 2018); inquiry learning (Duran & Dökme, 2016;Wartono & Batlolona, 2018;Pursitasari et al, 2020); and inquiry-discovery (Putra et al, 2018). In addition to the efforts that have been made, several researchers have also developed printed teaching materials (Pursitasari et al, 2019;Laos & Tefu, 2020) and multimedia (Djamas & Tinedi, 2018).…”

“…Through guided practice activities such as quizzes and clarifications, they can improve their critical thinking skills (Ennis, 2016;Halpern, 2014). Thus, the lack of guided practice in inquiry learning (Duran & Dökme, 2016;Putra et al, 2018) can be adequately handled. This activity implements previous research advice to facilitate the exercises to improve critical thinking skills (Diani et al, 2020), (Herunata et al, 2020. Phase 5 isreflection.…”
