“…In contrary, a retrospective study by Pearce et al on 340 infertile women (58 had PCOS and 282 were ovulatory) failed to demonstrate any seasonal fluctuation of serum AMH with vitamin D status in either the PCOS or ovulatory subgroups. Another more recent prospective cross‐sectional study involving 283 infertile women with 26 of them having a diagnosis of PCOS also showed no correlation between 25(OH)D and AMH . The differences in inclusion criteria, sample size, geographical and genetic factors, study design as well as assays used for the measurement of vitamin D and AMH and their differential performance may have contributed to the discrepancies observed in the various studies.…”
