“…Based on a cutoff of 3.13 (90 th percentile), the EDE-Q8 discriminates between individuals at high vs low risk for clinically significant eating disorder symptoms. 25 In this study, internal consistency was good (Cronbach's a 5 0.89).…”

“…Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire 8 (EDE-Q8). For an economical assessment of global eating disorder psychopathology, the short version of the EDE-Q (EDE-Q8) was used, 25 a brief validated version of the EDE-Q containing 8 of the original 28 items of the EDE-Q (2 items of each subscale Restraint, Eating Concern, Shape Concern, and Weight Concern) rated on a seven-point Likert scale (0 5 not at all to 6 5 every day) and referring to the last 28 days. A mean global score was calculated, ranging from 0 to 6, with higher scores indicating greater psychopathology.…”

“…psychological assessment. Participants also completed the Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4) 44 , the Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire 8 (EDE-Q8) 45 , and a brief form of the Giessen Subjective Complaints List (GBB-8) 46 . The PHQ-4 allows for the brief measurement of depression and anxiety based on participants' responses to 4 items on a Likert scale ranging from "not at all" to "nearly every day".…”

“…The EDE-Q8 is an 8-item self-report questionnaire used to assess eating disorder psychopathology. Scores range from 0 to 6, with higher scores indicating greater psychopathology 45 . Similarly, the GBB-8 is a brief, self-report questionnaire used to assess somatic symptom strain.…”

“…Furthermore, we expected a negative correlation with the appearance subscale of the child version of the BES. Based on the EDE-Q8(Kliem et al, 2015), factorial validity was tested using CFA by a secondorder general factor model with four first-order factors comprising the postulated subscales. We used robust maximum likelihood estimation with the mean-adjusted Satorra-Bentler v 2 test statistic(Chou, Bentler, & Satorra, 1991).…”
