The Development of the Endurance Training Model Based on Technique Drill

Abstract: Low endurance capabilities will make it difficult for players to compete in competitive soccer matches. Therefore, a training model is needed to increase endurance so that players can play optimally and maintain their skills. This research aims to develop an endurance training model based on technique drills. The method used was research and development (R&D), with a total sample of 55 people who were divided into two groups, namely a small group trial and a large group trial. Data collection techniques used i… Show more

“…The development of this training model has gone through various stages, starting from expert validation, small group, and large group studies. In the small-group and large-group experiments, 86.4% said this training model is suitable for use [44]. The feasibility of this model is an update in endurance training to increase the endurance ability of soccer players.…”

“…Teaching basic movement skills to children at an early age is crucial, as failure to acquire these fundamental skills can lead to difficulties in learning and performing more complex skills, such as sports technical skills, later in life (Donnla et al, 2022;Ridho Bahtra et al, 2022). These skills should be introduced during the formative years of 6-12, considered the pre-skills period when children can learn diverse skills (Bakhtiar, 2015).…”

“…While the lungs' vital capacity is the ability to inhale and exhale, it also influences the oxygen capacity in the lungs and the strength of the lung muscles (Lazovic-Popovic et al, 2016). Based on this, it can be concluded that endurance, which is anaerobic (Bahtra et al, 2021). Intensive interval training has the characteristics of a high load intensity of 80-90%, a small number of repetitions, 6-10 times per series, long rest periods of 90-180 seconds, and long distances of 100-400 meters.…”
