The problem of the research is due to the need to create a special engineering style of thinking within the digital educational space, which implies readiness for research, creativity, responsibility, and supported by modern high-tech tools in order to provide resources for solving the problems of Industry 4.0. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of using 3D technologies for the formation of engineering thinking as an important competence of a high-demand specialist in the digital society. The research methodology is a theoretical and methodological analysis and generalization of fundamental scientific works in the field of digitalization of education, training of engineering and technical personnel, three-dimensional modeling, application of software for the development of thinking. The pedagogical experiment uses the example of assessing the formation of personality qualities and skills that form the basis of engineering thinking. The sign criterion G is used as a method of statistical processing and verification of the reliability of the obtained results. Research results. The authors clarify the concept "engineering thinking" in the context of training specialists for Industry 4.0 and substantiate the potential of 3D technologies for the formation of engineering thinking. They formulate the principles and supporting directions of the mentor of students' research activities in 3D modeling. The authors present a system of work on an interdisciplinary project underlining skills significant for the formation of engineering thinking. The authors come to the conclusion that the use of 3D-technologies in training creates additional conditions for the development of qualities and skills that ensure the integrity of engineering thinking formation as a universal competence of a high-demand professional of the future.

The research is relevant as educational computer games are included in students' mathematical activity and form additional opportunities to improve the quality of teaching mathematics in a digital school, to support the formation of the demanded professional competencecomputational thinking. To form the appropriate skills that determine the essence of special computational thinking, the authors propose to include game educational spaces based on digital gamification resources into students' mathematical activities. The research aims to resolve the contradiction between requirements of the modern economy for specialists' high level of computational thinking and an insufficiently developed methodological base for training graduates that meets these requirements. The purpose of this research is to study the features of using gamification technologies in teaching mathematics to form the skills and abilities that make up the essence of computational thinking. The article describes directions of educational and cognitive mathematical activity based on the principles of gamification. The authors clarify the concept of "computational thinking", which includes a system of actions for activating patterns, connections between them from human memory, and compile an effective algorithm for solving them: to obtain relevant information on advanced technological developments; to state the problem and model; to use a software product with mathematical content.

The article describes the modern vision of the category of “life self-determination” on the example of graduates of engineering and biotechnology programs of a regional university. As part of the study, a review of scientific articles was carried out. We formulated theoretical and instrumental approaches that are relevant for the present time, they are: ensuring a high level of primary professional self-identification of university graduates and high satisfaction with professional competencies; creating conditions for the manifestation of prosocial behavior, satisfaction with the psychological comfort of interpersonal and group interactions; the formed need to participate in the modernization and creation of their modern living environment, including updating the content of the rural way of life; raising awareness among young people about the professions in demand, the needs and priorities of the digital society to develop lifelong learning skills. They provide understanding and modeling of youth policy in the field of professional and life self-determination and contribute to the solution of the state task set in the Decree “On the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030”.
