“…This finding is reliable, given that an association between SGRQ score and 6-MWD (16,17) has already been proven. The correlation coefficient for CAT score and age was r = 0.29, which is nearly equivalent to the value reported in a previous study, r = 0.24 (18).…”

“…The CCQ was first described in 2003 1 and has been shown to be valid and reliable in patients with COPD and is responsive to intervention. 1,3,19 We recently demonstrated that the CCQ strongly correlates with other simple health-related quality of life measures such as the CAT in COPD, 16,20 and we have confirmed the MID of the CCQ to be 0.4 in patients with COPD. 3 The CCQ is quick to complete (approximately 2 min) 5 self-administered, and compared with other questionnaires, requires less assistance to complete.…”

“…First, as a single-centre study, there are concerns whether our findings are generalizable, and certainly further studies are needed for corroboration. However, as part of a recent multicentre study, our pulmonary rehabilitation programme had similar results to other outpatient programmes in the UK, 19 and so it is likely that our results are translatable to the 'real-life' clinical pulmonary rehabilitation setting. Second, we had relatively small numbers of patients in each respiratory disease subcategory.…”

“…In addition, the CAT score is responsive to pulmonary rehabilitation. 22,23 However, the relation between CAT score and nutritional status has not been examined. In the present study, the CAT score was significantly associated with the mMRC scale, %FEV1 and %RV but not Values are mean ± SD.…”
