Educational activities in the Program for Education through Work for Health

Objective: To describe the educational activities of the Program for Education through Work for Health (PET-Health) developed in family health units of a municipality in the Northeast of Brazil. Method: Qualitative study with 16 preceptors interviewed in the months of March and April 2016. Inclusion criterion was adopted: preceptors who worked in family health units linked to the program, for at least two years. Were excluded workers on vacations, maternity leave or on leave for various reasons. The data were interpreted according with Bardin's content analysis method. Results: It was evidenced that the PET-Health involves users in health education actions in the formation of educational groups, recreational activities and income generation workshops, and permanent education activities for health service workers through training, collective actions and induction of changes in daily work. Conclusion and implications for practice: Educational activities of the PET-Health, according to the reality and needs of health services, is a differential that qualifies the training process of students and workers, while promoting education for the health of users through integrated and intersectoral actions.

Objective: To understand Permanent Education in the daily work in the vaccination room, from the professional's perspective. Method:A holistic-qualitative multiple-case study, based on the Quotidian Comprehensive Sociology, and carried out in four micro-regions of Minas Gerais State, Brazil, with 56 professionals working in seven municipalities. To analyze the data, the Thematic Content Analysis was used associated to the cases' cross-synthesis. Results: The frequent changes in immunization, adverse events, professional accountability, as well as the daily difficulties of working in the vaccination room point to the need for Permanent Education. There is a need for doctors and community health agents to be trained in immunization, just as nurses are previously trained. The importance of Permanent Education for safe work and patient safety in vaccination is evidenced. Conclusion and implications for practice: Considering the relevance and complexity of work in the vaccination room, PermanentEducation has the potential to strengthen teamwork, positively impact the care provided to users and provide professionals with more security in the practices carried out.Objetivo: Compreender a Educação Permanente no cotidiano de trabalho em sala de vacinação, sob a ótica do profissional.Método: Estudo de casos múltiplos holístico-qualitativo, fundamentado na Sociologia Compreensiva e do Cotidiano, e realizado em quatro microrregiões de Minas Gerais, Brasil, com 56 profissionais que atuam em sete municípios. Para análise dos dados, utilizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo Temática associada à síntese cruzada dos casos. Resultados: As frequentes alterações em imunização, os eventos adversos, a responsabilização profissional, bem como as dificuldades cotidianas do trabalho em sala de vacinação apontam a precisão de Educação Permanente. Verifica-se a necessidade de médicos e Agentes Comunitários de Saúde serem capacitados em imunização, assim como os profissionais de Enfermagem estarem previamente treinados.Evidenciam-se a importância da Educação Permanente para o trabalho seguro e a segurança do paciente em vacinação. Conclusão e implicações para a prática:Considerando a relevância e a complexidade do trabalho em sala de vacinação, a Educação Permanente tem potencial para fortalecer o trabalho em equipe, impactar positivamente no cuidado prestado aos usuários e proporcionar ao profissional mais segurança nas práticas realizadas. RESUMOObjetivo: reconhecer o processo de trabalho dos técnicos de enfermagem atuantes em Estratégias de Saúde da Família. Método: trata-se de estudo qualitativo, descritivo, com 22 técnicos de enfermagem, durante as oficinas de Educação Permanente em Saúde sobre o processo de trabalho em saúde, por meio da análise dos os objetos produzidos pelos trabalhadores e as discussões registradas em diários de campo dos pesquisadores, que foram interpretados à luz da técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: identificaram-se os profissionais que desenvolveram as suas atividades baseadas nos princípios da integralidade, universalidade e intersetorialidade, no processo de trabalho pautado na responsabilidade de equipe e na luta pela superação do modelo biomédico, na procura do usuário pelo serviço. Conclusão: conclui-se que os técnicos de enfermagem se identificaram como uma porta de entrada do serviço, no entanto, sentiram dificuldades quanto ao reconhecimento profissional e destacaram a necessidade da educação permanente em saúde como um espaço para debater e/ou aperfeiçoar o processo de trabalho. Conclusión: se concluye que los técnicos de enfermería se identificaron como una puerta de entrada del servicio, sin embargo, experimentaron dificultades con respecto al reconocimiento profesional y enfatizaron la necesidad de la educación de salud permanente como un espacio para discutir y / o perfeccionar el proceso de trabajo.
