“…6)-D-glucan isolated from A. carmichaeli (Fu Zi), with an average molecular weight of about 14,000 Da (Zhao et al, 2006). ACP-a1, a A. coreanum polysaccharide with a molecular weight of 3.2 Â 10 5 Da, significantly inhibited the growth of hepatoma H22 transplanted in mice and prolonged the survival time of H22 tumor-bearing mice (Li et al, 2013c). Monkshood (A. carmichaeli) polysaccharide combined with Adriamycin long-circulating temperature-sensitive liposome can enhance killer activity of NK cells and transformation of T cells, supporting their synergic antitumor effect (Dong et al, 2006).…”

“…As part of our systematic investigations on the special herbal medicines used in clinical preparations in Yunnan Province, the chemical constituents of A. vilmorinianum were studied, and 18 norditerpenoid alkaloids were obtained, including three new compounds named vilmorrianines E-G (1-3) and a new natural product N-desethyl-N-formyl-8-O-methyltalatisamine (4), which was once reported as a synthetic product of the oxidation of 8-O-methyltalatisamine [9]. Among the 14 known compounds, there are seven alkaloids (5)(6)(7)(8)(9)(10)(11) isolated for the first time from this plant. In light of the anti-arthritic effects of the extract of the roots of A. vilmorinianum [10], an in vitro lymphocyte proliferation assay was carried out to evaluate the potential immunosuppressive activities of the compounds.…”

“…The ethanol extract of the roots of A. vilmorinianum used in China as a local substitute for Aconiti radix and Aconiti kusnezoffii radix was found to induce significant improvement of joint allodynia, swelling, hyperaemia and vascular permeability in an arthritis knee model in the rat. 120 Cochlearenine and lycoctonine, isolated from the roots of D. linearilobum were detected to exert significant DPPH radical scavenging and metal chelation, respectively. …”
