With the rapid development of the income level and e-commerce in China, the low-consumption population is gradually being overlooked by merchants. Nevertheless, founded in 2015, Pinduoduo (PDD) has made a spectacular achievement, precisely noticing and targeting the sinking market, reaching a huge success. Thus, in this paper, the author mainly focused on the reason why PDD could thrive in the competitive Chinese e-commerce market and PDD’s successful marketing strategies. In addition, based on SWOT analysis, the author investigates the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that are related to PDD. The author also collects and analyzes data from its financial reports. Based on these analyses, the author will correspondingly give suggestions that will be beneficial for PDD’s future development. Consequently, the author finds that even though PDD is successful in operating, it has a large number of problems, for which needed to transform itself from mid-to-high tier by providing better services.

Starting from 2020, the world has been changed by the COVID-19 pandemic, a highly contagious virus that hit the world with many lives lost and the economy disrupted. This article analyzed Pfizer as the global leading pharmaceutical company, and a giant in biopharma, which demonstrated huge success in the pandemic with its famous COVID-19 vaccine “Comirnaty” and its oral anti-COVID drug, “Paxlovid”. The SWOT analysis helped to better understand Pfizer’s business position and its strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats. Thus we can have a more comprehensive view of Pfizer's business and its future potential. The analysis revealed that although Pfizer has taken some advantages during the pandemic with its bold moves and became the No.1 biopharma company in the world, it’s also facing many challenges, including its weak portfolio, slow R&D, and supply problems. However, we still believe Pfizer is striving to evolve into a more competitive biopharma leader with its continuous focus on science, bold moves, new culture to drive excellence, and new agile way of working.

With the development of Internet and information technology, more and more people prefer to purchase merchandise online through e-commerce platforms rather than offline stores. And this change causes an increasing number of enterprises focus on online e-commerce platforms. With the number of e-commerce platforms grows, the competition between e-commerce platforms become fierce. It is a good question that how the e-commerce platform stands out from many competitors. This paper studies the e-commerce operation strategy through user analysis, business model and product analysis according to specific examples which are popular E-commerce platforms in China called Taobao and PDD via methods of case analysis and comparative analysis in different three periods and the main analysis object is PDD. Combine with the research results, even though PDD faces the competitive environment, PDD adjusts its strategy in time in order to become more competitive in different periods. Correct strategic positioning to meet the needs of consumers and differentiated from other competitors are methods of long-term existence and development.
