Hypertension is often suffered by older adults, which directly can impact their health and quality of life. One of the non-pharmacological management for patients with hypertension is through acupressure to accelerate blood-flow circulation and to reduce blood pressure. This study aims to determine the self-acupressure effect on the elderly with hypertension in Cilincing Health Center in North Jakarta. This research used a quasi-experimental involving control and intervention group. Thirty-six elderlies were involved in this study divided into two groups. Findings showed that there were significant differences in the intervention group between the results of systolic and diastolic measurements before and after acupressure (p-value= 0.000). The findings suggest that families can apply self-acupressure as a support system for older adults with hypertension.

Introduction: Gout arthritis is a systemic disease caused by deposition of monosodium urate crystals in the joints, causing pain. Pain management may include complementary therapy such as combination therapy of a warm ginger stew compress and Ki. 3 point acupressure to reduce pain. This research aimed to examine the effect of combination therapy of a warm ginger stew compress and Ki. 3 point acupressure on the pain level of gout arthritis patients.Methods: The research design for this study is a quasi-experiment pre-test and post-test, with a control group design for 30 respondents. The respondents were assigned to an experimental group with combination therapy of a warm ginger stew compress and Ki. 3 point acupressure for about 30 minutes, and a control group with a warm ginger stew compress for about 15 minutes. Each group consisted of 15 people. The data was analysed using a paired t-test, independent t-test, and Mann Whitney test.Results: The Mann Whitney test showed an average decrease of pain level in the experimental group of 1,7333 and the control group of 1,0667 so, there were differences in the decreased of pain level before and after intervention between the two groups with p-value=0.013.Conclusion: Combination therapy of a warm ginger stew compress and Ki. 3 point acupressure were effective in decreasing the pain level of gout arthritis patients in Puskesmas 1 Purwokerto Timur. This therapy can be used for the gout arthritis patient to reduce pain level.

Latar Belakang : Pandemi Covid 19 membuat perubahan di segala bidang terutama pelayanan kesehatan. Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Aisyiyah Pandaan adalah salah satu tempat pelayanan kesehatan yang terdampak Covid 19. Mitra PKM adalah bidan dan perawat Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Aisyiyah Pandaan. Permasalahan mitra: Penurunan jumlah kunjungan yang cukup drastis akibat pandemi Covid 19. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tim pengabdian yang terdiri dari dosen kebidanan dan fisioterapi serta mahasiswa berusaha memberikan solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra, yaitu dengan penambahan jenis pelayanan berupa terapi komplementer akupresur pada ibu dan anak di Klinik Aisyiyah yang banyak dicari masyarakat. Tujuan PKM : menambah kompetensi SDM Klinik di bidang terapi komplementer akupresur untuk mendukung tambahan pelayanan baru di Klinik Aisyiyah Pandaan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kunjungan pasien. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu dengan memberikan pelatihan akupresur pada bidan dan perawat Klinik Aisyiyah Pandaan. Materi pelatihan disampaikan oleh tim pengabdi tentang akupresur pada ibu khususnya untuk meningkatkan stamina dan produksi ASI selama nifas, massase bayi dan akupresur pada anak untuk berbagai keluhan ringan. Luaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah : 1) para bidan dan perawat memiliki pemahaman dan kompetensi pelayanan akupresur serta ada penambahan pelayanan baru di Klinik yaitu pelayanan akupresur pada ibu dan anak, 2) menjadi karya ilmiah yang dipublikasikan di jurnal nasional dan media massa.
