Tendência da mortalidade por doença cerebrovascular no Estado de São Paulo: 1970 a 1989

Abstract: the fall of the Stroke deaths rates could be due to increase in the detection and control of hypertension; other factors such as improve in death certification, decline of Chagasic myocarditis, new image-diagnostic tests and medical care had maybe only a secondary play in the decline of stroke mortality.

“…Dentro deste grupo de doenças, existem algumas patologias especialmente indicadas para o desenvolvimento de indicadores e padrões de qualidade, considerando-se a letalidade hospitalar que acarretam, o volume de internações hospitalares que produzem e a sensibilidade (Donabedian, 1980) a tecnologias médicas hospitalares.
