Synthesis of Magnetic Metal-Organic Frame Material and Its Application in Food Sample Preparation

Abstract: A variety of contaminants in food is an important aspect affecting food safety. Due to the presence of its trace amounts and the complexity of food matrix, it is very difficult to effectively separate and accurately detect them. The magnetic metal-organic framework (MMOF) composites with different structures and functions provide a new choice for the purification of food matrix and enrichment of trace targets, thus providing a new direction for the development of new technologies in food safety detection with … Show more

“…Magnetic MOFs materials were used in MSPE, such as MOF-5 (Zn 4 O(BDC) 3 ) (BDC=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate) with a cubic 3D porous structure, ZIF-8([Zn(MeIM) 2 ]) and ZIF-67 ([Co(MeIM) 2 ]) (MeIM=2-methylimidazole). The advantages of MOFs are large pore volume, mechanical and chemical stability, superparamagnetism, and working at a high temperature, making MOFs more useful for the MSPE [52][53][54]. Overall, the choice of inorganic, organic, or MOF modification will depend on the specific application and the properties required for the MNPs.…”

“…In particular, the combination of magnetic nanoparticles and MOFs to form magnetic MOF (MMOF) materials has attracted great interest from researchers by the feature of localization or collection by an external magnetic field . The combination of MOF material and magnetic nanoparticles has the following advantages: (1) The target ability of MMOF material application was enhanced. By selection of suitable target substances and regulation of the synthesis conditions, MMOF materials could be constructed for specific applications (e.g., catalysis, adsorption, and release).…”
