On complexation, the 1592 cm -1 band caused by (C=N) of ligand was blue shifted due to the bond's increased strength, which strengthened N-H bond in the amide group [13][14][15][16][17].…”

A blue shift of this band in the spectrum of the cadmium complex is caused by bond strength increase [13][14][15][16]18]. The spectrum is quite complicated as a result of the several bands that the general C=S group connected to N produces absorption at 1560 -700 cm -1 .…”
