“…The absorptions induced by the 365 nm external illumination for BaSO 4 under different gaseous environments are shown in Figure . A 365 nm illumination is not expected to generate any excited charge carriers in BaSO 4 due to its extremely large band gap corresponding to ∼200–300 nm; , therefore, the ideal photoinduced absorption spectrum should be a straight line at 0% under all presently introduced gases. The spectra in Figure slightly deviate from the ideal 0% line due to noise and small instrumental drifts/errors.…”

“…The identification of cell membrane proteins in the extracellular matrix has previously shown that most nanoparticles target the cell membrane of the bacterium [17]. Sivakumar et al [32] conducted a study in which they synthesized barium nanoparticles using the chemical precipitation method. The antibacterial activity suggests that the particles may interfere with Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial transporter, dehydrogenase, and periplasmic enzymatic activities.…”

“…The BaSO 4 show quickly processed and similar protective ability to lead due to a high photon attenuation coefficient (linear and mass attenuation coefficient), effective atomic number, and good electron density. Based on these specifications, BaSO 4 would be an excellent choice to protect against radiation 35 37 . As for Fe 3 O 4 , it is good to increase the attenuation of electromagnetic waves, both electrical and magnetic properties 38 .…”
