A new series of solid state fluorescent disperse dyes based on hybrid structure of pyrrolinone ester (PES)/coumarin moiety was prepared and fully characterized using spectroscopic analysis such as 1 HNMR, MS and IR spectra. The coumarin derivative (7- amino-4- methyl coumarin) was initially prepared from amino phenol via multi steps condensation reactions and its diazonium salt coupled with the pyrrolinone ester to form the hydrazone dyes. 1 HNMR data of the prepared dyes exhibited a pure hydrazone form as a mixture of E , Z isomers. These dyes showing a significant emission in solid state as well as on the dyed fabric. The dyeing application on polyester fabrics was investigated which showing that these dyes show high affinity to polyester fabric, and minor change in the dye affinity by changing pH even under alkaline conditions was observed.

A NEW two reactive disperse dyes based on a hybrid structure of isatin and benzanthrone or anthraquinone via 1, 3, 5 triazine spacer were prepared. The prepared compounds were characterized by 1 H-NMR, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The UV/vis absorption spectra and emission spectra were measured in N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution at room temperature, the effects of substituent's on the emission spectra of these compounds were interpreted. The dyeing application of the prepared dyes on wool and polyamide-6 fabrics at various concentrations of dye and different pH were investigated as well as the exhaustion and dye fixation were studied. The antibacterial activity of the prepared reactive disperse dyes were studied against different kind of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Gram-positive bacteria) and Escherichia coli (Gram-negative bacteria). The antibacterial affinity of the prepared dyes was exhibit a significant effect compared with selected antibiotics as reference standard. The fastness properties of the dyed fabrics were studied which showing excellent wash fastness, rubbing and perspiration fastness as well as high stability to light.

A series of new disazo disperse dye compounds based on 4-amino-2-chlorophenylazo-4bromobenzene intermediate were prepared by linking various arylamines and phenolic derivatives to this intermediate through diazo coupling reactions. The structures of the azo compounds were confirmed by FT-IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and UV-visible spectral data. The results of the UV-vis absorption spectra of some of the dyes showed near-infrared absorptions around 573-800 nm. The results of the colour fastness to washing and sublimation gave an excellent value of grade 5. The light fastness values were found to be technically acceptable with the grey-scale grade of 5 to 6-7. Also, the rubbing fastness was observed to be grade 3/4 to 4.
