Syntheses and reactivity of calixarenes functionalized at meso positions

Abstract: In this paper the syntheses and reactivity of calixarenes functionalized at their meso positions are reviewed. First the calixarenes substituted at one, two and all meso positions are described; they are followed by presentation of ketocalixarenes.
