Abstract:Recebido em 19/8/96; aceito em 13/5/97 SUPERORDER CORNIFLORAE: CHEMISTRY, ETNOPHARMACOLOGY AND PHARMACOL-OGY. Corniflorae (sensu Dahlgren, 1980) is a superorder of the Angiospermae formed by the orders Fouquieriales, Ericales, Eucommiales, Sarraceniales, Cornales and Dipsacales, comprising 50 families with more than 7000 cosmopolitan species.
