“…The earliest case described was in 1982, involving a 70‐year‐old male with diffuse gyrate erythema, histologically suggestive of ‘chronic lupus erythematosus’, associated with lung carcinoma 2 . Following that case, other authors have reported the association between SCLE and adenocarcinoma of the stomach, 3 breast adenocarcinoma (two cases), 4,5 uterine adenocarcinoma, 6 Hodgkin’s disease 7 and with lung carcinoma (four cases) 2,8,9 .
