“…Both models allow the derivation of analytical expressions for the correlation coefficients at the fingers outputs of a RAKE receiver. It also has to be noticed that the theoretical assumptions of rectangular pulses and uniform PDP are quite common in CDMA systems, [23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30].…”

“…To alleviate this problem, we propose a novel method based on Teager energy operator (TEO) to detect glottal activity in both voiced and unvoiced regions of speech. TEO has been used extensively in speech literature for speech and speaker recognition (Jabloun et al 1999;Patil and Parhi 2010a), emotion/stress classification (Zhou et al 2001), speech enhancement (Bahoura and Rouat 2001), voice pathology detection , formant estimation (Maragos et al 1991), speech synthesis (Sinder 1999), signal detection (Boudraa et al 2008) and multipath delay estimation (Hamila et al 2003) etc. However, there is very little work on using TEO for epoch detection or glottal activity detection.…”

“…The Teager Kaiser based delay estimation technique is based on the principle of extracting the signal energy of various channel paths via a nonlinear TK operator Hamila (2002), Hamila et al (2003). The output Ψ TK (x(n)) of TK operator applied to a discrete signal x(n), can be defined as Hamila et al (2003):…”
