The Pb-S(2) distance of 2-964 (5) A is comparable with the Pb-S(CN) distances of 3.121 (3) and 2.894 (3) A found respectively in the lead cryptate C~8H36N 2-O6.Pb(SCN)2 (Metz & Weiss, 1974) Weiss, 1973). Unlike the latter compound, where localization of the 6s lone pair has been proposed, there appears to be no stereochemical activity of the Pb lone pair in the present complex.…”
